Hi, I'm Jessalyn
Bridging art, policy, and community to help build a more creative & just world.

Peak behind the curtain
Welcome to my world, where performance meets purpose! I am an actress, storyteller, voice-over artist, and public speaker who also works in public service. Art is the driving force that shapes the world we live in, cultures that shape us, and ignites possibilities beyond your imagination. With a love for the arts and a commitment to leaving this world better than I found it, I strive to create impactful narratives that inspire change.

Projects
A showcase of some of my proudest highlights

Community, Advocacy, & Activism
From working for LA County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, representing her in the coastal areas of the Second District to serving two elected terms on the board of the Palms Neighborhood Council in the City of Los Angeles, I'm known for advocating for policy that reduces waste to protect our environment (specifically the ocean), empowering youth, as well as connecting and uplifting communities.

Acting, Art, & Storytelling
We are all born with vivid imaginations, we all create and play as children. I challenge you to think about what our world look like if that was nurtured? I thrive while acting or being on stage, but I also enjoy painting, pottery, coloring, and writing. Art is my therapy, it keeps me grounded and connected. It should be a tool for everyone to have access to.

Professional Play
An award winning public speaker, I tell stories with vulnerability and purpose. My path has been anything but traditional, I went from hospitality pro (a kick-ass waitress) to returning to college later in life, graduating magna cum laude from UCLA while working two jobs and staying committed to serving community through it all. Now working in public service, I love a challenge and show up ready to give it everything I’ve got, every time.
